Biography

Rui Wang is from Beijing Language and Culture University and is a visiting professor in the Confucius Institute at Georgia State University. She received her training in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Beijing Language and Culture University and has published widely in foreign language teaching and English-Chinese translation and comparison. Professor Wang has taught a broad range of courses, such as English-Chinese Translation, Elementary Chinese Listening and Speaking, English Grammar, English Listening. Rui Wang will be a visiting instructor at the Georgia State University Confucius Institute through Spring 2018.

Beijing Language and Culture University Visiting Professor

Biography

Jinwei Peng is from Beijing Language and Culture University and is a visiting professor in the Confucius Institute at Georgia State University. She completed her Ph.D. and received training in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Beijing Language and Culture University and has published works in teaching Chinese as second language and modern Chinese grammar. Professor Peng has taught a broad range of courses, such as Elementary Integrated Chinese, Listening and Speaking, Chinese as Second Language Pedagogical Grammar.  Jinwei Peng will be a visiting instructor at the Georgia State University Confucius Institute through Fall 2017-Spring 2019.

Beijing Language and Culture University Visiting Professor

Biography

Xiaohong Tao is from Beijing Language and Culture University and is a visiting professor in the Confucius Institute at Georgia State University. She completed her Ph.D. and received training in Literature from the China Art Research Institute and has won awards for Excellence in her Doctoral Thesis and teaching at Beijing Language and Culture University. Professor Tao has taught a broad range of Chinese courses internationally since 1986 in Africa, Singapore and Thailand.  Xiaohong Tao will be a visiting instructor at the Georgia State University Confucius Institute through Fall 2017-Spring 2019.

Beijing Language and Culture University Visiting Professor

Biography

Zhijun Shen is from Beijing Language and Culture University and is a visiting professor in the Confucius Institute at Georgia State University. He completed his Ph.D. in Chinese Linguistic Literature from Beijing Normal University. Professor Shen has previously taught at Ohio State University, Leiden University, and Bangkok College of BLCU.  Zhijun Shen will be a visiting instructor at the Georgia State University Confucius Institute through Fall 2017-Spring 2019.

Biography

Yuanyuan Liu is from Beijing Language and Culture University and is a volunteer in the Confucius Institute at Georgia State University. She received her training in Foreign Language and Literature from Beijing Language and Culture University. Yuanyuan Liu will teach non-credit courses, such as Survival Chinese and Chinese Cultural Exploration at the Georgia State University Confucius Institute from 08/2017 to 06/2018.

Biography

Xueting Tang is from Beijing Language and Culture University and is a student intern in the Confucius Institute at Georgia State University. Her major is linguistics and applied linguistics and the direction of her major is discourse analysis. She has taught integrated Chinese and took part in a North America Chinese program in Beijing Language and Culture University. She previously worked for Hanban and the Research Center of Beijing Language and Culture University. Xueting Tang will be a student intern at the Georgia State University Confucius Institute through Spring 2018.

Biography

Qijuan Xia is from Beijing Language and Culture University and is a visiting volunteer in the Confucius Institute at Georgia State University. She majored in Teaching Chinese as a second language and has interned at Confucius Institute Headquarters Proposition Center. Survival Chinese and Cultural Exploration are mainly two non-credit course at Confucius Institute which she will teach. Qijuan Xia will be a a visiting volunteer at the Georgia State University Constitute Institute through Summer 2018.
