Ms. Anita Chan gives lecture on Hong Kong’s Art, Food, Wine, and Business

On Sept. 13, 2013, the GSU Confucius Institute hosted a special lecture on Hong Kong’s Art, Food, Wine, and Business, given by Ms. Anita Chan, who is now the Director of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in New York. This lecture attracted a lot of people from the local community including professors and students from GSU and other universities and communities nearby. In her lecture, Ms. Chan first introduced the popular display of famous art exhibitions in Hong Kong. Secondly she introduced several prestigious cultural attractions and artistic museums. Chan then discussed several other topics such as, the diverse gourmet, bustling traffic system, the very frequent and friendly trade system among all the countries in the world, especially the U.S.A, and the cooperation between universities in Hong Kong and others around the world. With the development of China-US economic cooperation, more and more bilingual professionals will be in demand in the future. As defined in Chinese Business, Confucius Institute will keep providing more Chinese Business courses and lectures to attract more students to study Chinese and improve its reputation and influence in economic field.
